During a good part of the year, from the end of November to the beginning of May, practically the whole Park is covered with snow. At this time of year, snowshoeing becomes the best option to get into the impressive white landscapes

AIGÜESTORTES NATIONAL PARK AND SANT MAURICI LAKE

It is the only National Park in Catalonia. Its high mountain landscape, with an impressive relief and a great richness of wildlife and vegetation, will not disappoint you. The water, with almost 200 lakes and countless small rivers, is the star.

Hiking, excursions, ascents and crossings of all levels and for all crowds. There are many routes to get to know the Aigüestortes National Park and SantMaurici lake and discover its impressive landscapes

ALT PIRINEU NATURAL PARK

The Natural Park Alt Pirineu, between the regions of Pallars Sobirà and Alt Urgell, it is the largest in Catalonia and in the Valls d’Àneu these natural spaces of special interest stand out:

  • Mollera Escalarre. Main wetland of the Park. An extensive riverbank and reed forest is a resting point for numerous birds, especially during migratory passages.
  • La Gola lake and Tres Estanys
  • Mont-roig. The highest mountain in Valls d’Àneu (2864m)
  • Bonabé Valley

LA TORRASSA LAKE

Right in front of the campsite there is La Torrassa lake where you can fish and which is surrounded by paths suitable for cycling and walking.

There are also facilities for the practice of nautical and adventure sports. In addition, you can walk through the Mollera de Escalarre, a natural area with habitats of high interest and an abundance of waterfowl

The Fallas festival, named Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2015, is a deeply rooted festival in our area. These are the ones celebrated in Valls d’Àneu:
